| Unity Boston Weekly Update January 8, 2011
|
|
Greetings!
Unity is designating 2012 as the year to Discover the Power Within You, linking with the powerful book of the same name by the late Rev. Eric Butterworth. If you are unfamiliar with the book or with Rev. Butterworth, we invite you to visit www.ericbutterworth.com for more information on the man and on the book that Oprah Winfrey claimed "changed my perspective on life and religion. Eric Butterworth teaches that God isn't 'up there.' He exists in, around, above and through each one of us, and it's up to us to seek the divine within."
Each month of 2012 will focus on a different topic, correlating with the top 12 most requested prayer needs received by Silent Unity. Bookmark this page and check back often for feature articles, meditations, affirmations and other resources (including writings from Rev. Butterworth) to support that month's topic.
We are into a new time in our lives now, IF we will it to be so. Surprisingly it takes more effort and energy to go back to the past than it does to go forward. The past was an exciting time for me. How about you? Was it a great time? Yes, it was a great time, but not without challenges. So, we focus on the good in the past. Wonderful things happened, and the best is yet to come!
Of course, we have challenges in life, but they are only opportunities to work with God and discover new positive depth to life, to make us greater, wiser, perhaps more forgiving, and certainly, more loving. It always happens that we have the opportunity to learn from any experience, and we do learn when God is guiding us.
Please join us for this Sunday January 8, 2012 to participate in an inspiring lesson by Rev. Evrol titled Follow Your Dreams. Don't forget to bring a friend. You will be glad you did.
Luke 12:31, Jesus said, "Seek God's kingdom first, and all these things shall be yours as well."

 , | My Estate Manager | | |
Unity Boston has provided a free web-based tool to the visitors of our website called My Estate Manager to assist you with estate planning, preparation, and management that helps families deal with this situation confidently, effectively . . . and with a feeling of control.
It's a unique estate planning and post-death administration resource that offers a secure, step-by-step guide that explains what to expect, what to do - and when. It also shows how to get immediate support from local service providers.
Thank You For Supporting Unity Boston
It is with grateful hearts that we thank you for your support over this past year. By sharing your time, talent and treasure, you help this ministry move forward.
Unlimited blessings.

"Born-Again Hindu"
A zealous Christian who was trying to convert a Hindu found himself getting nowhere. "The thing is," argued the frustrated Christian, "you have to be born again!"
"But I have been born again!" insisted the Hindu. "And again and again and again ..."
BAD JOKE DISCLAIMER: We recognize that religious humor can be risky. It is our hope that by laughing at ourselves (and others) we can make this subject more approachable. If you find any of these objectionable, we apologize. Many were passed along via email and others spotted on other websites. As with most jokes, the original authors are unknown -- but we thank them.
